Nona, a member of the Bratz family, is a singing sensation on a stage flashing with lights and pulsating with music. Your child can show off the doll's dance moves by manipulating the remote control to control her twists and turns.

The circular dance base is constructed of hard plastic and features five "stage" lights that flash when the dance light switch is turned on. The second switch on the base engages both the light and the music. "We Can All Be Stars" is the featured song for the doll's stage performance.
To achieve the twirling and dance moves, the doll is attached to a connector on the dance base by a hole in her toes. Although the instructions suggest using the (included) doll stand for better twirl, she actually has better stability when attached directly to the connector on the dance base. The doll has a tendency to wobble, tilt, and occasionally fall off. Ensuring that the foot is completely inserted into the connector helps to regulate stability.
Nona is fashioned of hard plastic and is partially posable. The remote control operates the twirls and spins of the body, but doesn't affect the movement of the doll's limbs, as "dancing" would suggest. The device allows an MP3 interface to play through the dance base speakers. A second connector on the stage is for the inclusion of another Bratz doll, should expansion to a duet from a solo act be appealing.
She Sings, She Twirls, She Spins
The audio through the dance base speakers is remarkably clear. The volume, which cannot be adjusted, is neither too loud nor too soft and is comfortable to listen to. Nona comes with two pairs of shoes--ballet pointe shoes, and sexy high heel sandals. Only the ballet shoes connect to the dance base. Because the doll's costuming is so well coordinated and in keeping with contemporary fashions, the pointe shoes are a quirky choice of footwear for her stage performance. It would seem more in keeping, given her sparkling attire, to outfit her with the silver glittering sandals. The doll moves well through the song, and is highly responsive to the easily maneuverable remote control with its twirl and dance commands. A minor quirk is that the doll's four primary poses are all balletic, which doesn't seem to quite to be in keeping with her rock star image and the pop song she's singing.
